Prom dress

A Cinderella Story

A whole community comes together each year to make dreams come true for local girls during prom season. It starts months in advance with an out pouring of donations: beautiful new and gently used prom gowns; shoes, jewelry, shawls and purses; gift certificates for corsages, manicures, updos and more. Days before the event, WYSS is transformed into a "Prom Botique", complete with reception area, dressing rooms and even a room for alterations. When the big day arrives, volunteers including owners from local bridal stores, seamstresses, makeup artists and WYSS staff are ready to assist the girls in finding their perfect prom dress and accessories. Thanks to everyones generosity and hard work between 60-70 will be able to go to the prom looking and feeling like a princess!!
