VOLUNTEER
WYSS has several volunteer opportunities, one of which may be right for you.
MENTOR
Mentors can have a great impact on a youth’s life, especially those involved in DCF care. By sharing a few hours of your time per week, you are changing a youth’s life forever. It can be as simple as being someone to talk to, “hang out” with or just listening. Being a role model and a positive influence are simple things that you can do, but the rewards are immense. We ask a commitment of one year of volunteering, which includes a minimum of one phone call a week and spending at least one hour a week together. If you believe that you can make this commitment or if you have any other questions, please contact Tabitha at 203-573-0264 or email her at trodriguez@waterburyyouthservices.org
BOARD OF DIRECTORS
Membership on our Board of Directors may be where your leadership skills can be used most effectively. Our board is comprised of respected business and community leaders charged with overseeing the organization's growth and development in accordance with its mission. If interested in Board Membership contact Executive Director, Kelly Cronin.
ADVOCACY
Perhaps you'd like to offer your time and talent to be an after-school tutor; mentor or share your skills with a child or teen. There are many ways to serve. Call us to discuss the possibilities!
ANNUAL EVENTS
We appreciate your desire to serve the youth and families of our community, do so by a donation of needed items, adopting a family or attend one of our well established or new events...please see our Calendar Of Events.
