Reasons We Are Grateful This
Thanksgiving Season

Stop & Shop, Wolcott St., Waterbury donated 30 turkeys (left) and the members of the B.P.O. Elks Club #265 loaded up our van with 30 more turkeys (right) for our annual “Share Your Bounty” Thanksgiving Basket Distribution.
Virtu, a local restaurant, opened their doors on Thanksgiving Day and provided turkey dinners for the less fortunate members of our community to enjoy free of charge.
Waterbury resident Ray Brown and his family adopted 4 families for Thanksgiving. They cooked and delivered the hot meals right to their homes on Thanksgiving Day.
Farmington-based KBE Building Corporation and Wallingford-based Thurston Foods, Inc. joined together to ensure 110 Connecticut families, 20 in Waterbury, enjoyed a traditional meal this holiday with their project called “The Gift of Gobble, Thanksgiving’s On Us”.
Sacred Heart Church of Southbury parishioners provided the children at our Safe Home with a wonderful Thanksgiving meal.
Parent volunteers, Home Day Care Providers and staff from our School Readiness Program provided a Thanksgiving dinner for 66 pre-school children and 50 adults.

Holy Cross High School’s Girls Soccer Team cooked and served a traditional Thanksgiving dinner to 120 of our youth in our Community Room for the second year.
