Back To School Rally 2018-Rock The Block

Citywide Back to School Rally

More than 1500 people attended the 21st Annual Back To School Rally held on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 at Library Park. This rally is a free, city-wide event hosted by Waterbury Youth Services, The Mayor's Office and Waterbury Public Schools.

The goal of this rally is to bring the community together to enrich the educational experience of Waterbury students by:

Giving them the school supplies needed to succeed on the first day of school

Showing families the numerous after-school programs available throughout the Waterbury area

Providing vital information on healthcare support and community resources

Relieving some of the financial burden parents face when children return to school

Waterbury back to school rally empowers kids, shows the heart of the community
