United Way Day of Caring was Extraordinary

A tremendous Thank You to United Way and Arianna Motta, Volunteer Engagement Coordinator, and to our amazing volunteers from FD Community Federal Credit Union, Torrco, and Webster Bank, for another spectacular Day of Caring. Each year United Way holds a Day of Caring for not for profits who need various projects done. On Thursday, September 8th, a group of talented, dynamic and caring volunteers took on the task of organizing two of our over packed storage rooms, and painting of an office. They not only completed the arduous tasks, but they got it done in a short amount of time. They put the power of volunteerism to work and left our staff speechless in amazement and gratitude.

Day of Caring is an annual United Way sponsored event offering hundreds of people the opportunity to volunteer at non-profit agencies in our community. Day of Caring began in 1992 as a way to help employees of local corporations interact with human service agencies and has grown since then.
